Mike is responsible for the strategic direction of the data and forecasting research programme. With over 7 years experience of covering the telecoms industry Mike has been a frequent speaker at international conferences and has contributed to industry titles including Global Mobile, Mobile Communications International and North American Wireless Analyst.

Devine Kofiloto

Principal Analysts

Devine currently co-manages Informa Telecoms & Media's wireless research team. His research agenda focuses on emerging markets, examining key market drivers, trends and analysing technological developments. Devine is frequently quoted on developments in the wireless market and regularly represents Informa Telecoms & Media at industry events.

Abdul Ghafar

Research Analyst

Abdul Ghafar is responsible for covering the Middle East & North Africa markets, where he uses his Arabic language skills. He has a particular interest in mergers & acquisition activity in the region. As well as speaking at industry events, Abdul is part of Informa's World Cellular Investors team. Abdul has travelled extensively to the region and spent a year in Egypt.

Thécla Mbongue

Research Analyst

A native French speaker, Thécla's special research focus is on Sub-Saharan Africa. She contributes to Informa's Middle East and Africa Wireless Analyst (MEAWA) and frequently travels to the region. Thécla is a key contributor to World Cellular Data Metrics. Prior to joining Informa, Thecla worked in Paris for a telecoms consultant and in London for wholesale telecoms operator Vectone.

Eva Benguigui

Senior Research Analyst

Eva covers the South American markets. She also manages the delivery of World Cellular Investors, which tracks the investment strategies of the world's largest cellular investors. As well as being a speaker at the GSM Americas Congress, Eva also contributes articles to several leading Latin American magazines that cover the wireless industry.

Ana Hermoso

Research Analyst

Ana has extensive knowledge of Central America and the Caribbean markets where she makes use of her Spanish language skills. She is a member of the World Cellular Datametrics team, which tracks the evolution of mobile data services on a worldwide basis. Ana has presented Informa Telecom's research and analysis at several conferences in the US and the Caribbean.

Kristin Paulin

Research Analyst

Kristin is the North America analyst for the Global Markets team. Based in Chicago, she is a regular at US-based events such as CTIA Wireless. She closely tracks operators' technology migration strategies and has contributed to a number of publications, including Informa's WCDMA Handset Pricing Insight. Prior to joining Informa, Kristin was a market analyst on the semiconductor side of the mobile telecoms industry.

Tingting Liu

Research Analyst

Based in Beijing, Tingting's special research focus is on China and other Chinese-speaking regions. As a native mandarin speaker, she has regular contacts with key players in the region to keep up with industrial developments. She is a regular contributor to Informa's Insight Reports and is also responsible for tracking key Chinese handset manufacturers for the handset database.

James Moore

Research Analyst

James Moore's special research focus is on the Indian sub-continent. He is also a member of the Handset & Devices team and monitors the activities of the Japanese and Korean handset manufacturers including LG, NEC and Samsung. He maintains and updates the Handset Database and plays an integral role in the publication of the quarterly World Cellular Handset Tracker.

Gemma Bunting

Research Analyst

Gemma is responsible for covering the Russian and CIS markets, where she uses her Russian, Croation and Czech language skills. She produces fortnightly analysis for Informa's Mobile Communications Europe. As a member of the World Cellular Investors team her analysis also focuses on global mergers and acquisitions. Gemma graduated in 2004 from the University of Durham with a BA in Russian with Central and Eastern European studies.

Kester Mann

Senior Research Analyst

Kester has more than six years experience covering the central and eastern Europe markets, where he regularly undertakes research visits. He manages Informa's World Cellular Data Metrics product and plays a key role in the development of the new WCIS+ Database. Kester writes frequently for Mobile Communications Europe (MCE) and previously worked for Motorola.

Dario Talmesio

Senior Research Analyst

Dario's special focus is on Western European markets. He researches, analyses and benchmarks the positioning of mobile operators and groups and contributes to flagship publications 3GWB, Mobile Communications and numerous Insight Reports. Prior to joining Informa Dario worked on western European markets at the EIU (Economist Intelligence Unit) specialising in Telecommunications. Dario holds an MA in Social and Market Research.

Elson Sutanto

Research Analyst

Elson covers developments within Eastern Europe, particularly within the Balkans and the Baltic states. Elson frequently contributes to Informa's Global Mobile publication and has a keen interest on keeping up to date with WiMAX developments worldwide.

Thomas Wehmeier

Principal Analyst

Thomas Wehmeier works within the European team. His interests lie in analyzing technological evolution from 2G through 3G to 4G and European telecoms regulation, on which he has presented at industry events. Thomas is a regular contributor to Informa's series of Insight Reports well as to Mobile Communications Europe, the leading trade publication for the European mobile industry.

Kevin Wilson

Research Analyst

Kevin is a Research Analyst within the Handset & Devices team and is responsible for monitoring the activities of the major handset manufacturers, particularly Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson. He maintains and continuously updates the Handset Database and is responsible for the publication of the Quarterly Handset Tracker. Kevin has a keen interest in multimedia and connectivity features within handsets.

Abigail Browne

Editor

Abigail is responsible for building and maintaining the editorial process for all the data team's research, including online services and paper reports. She is also the co-editor of the Mobile Communications Europe research service. She maintains a special research focus on Russia and the CIS and recent research includes authoring Insight reports on CDMA450 and UMTS900. Abigail has presented Informa's analysis at conferences in Bucharest, Prague, Moscow and St Petersburg.

Gareth Sims

Head of Forecasting

Gareth Sims is Head of Forecasting at Informa Telecoms and Media. He has over 8 years experience in statistical and financial modelling, specialising in the ICT industry. Over the last 5 years he has spearheaded the development of numerous forecasting products, spanning a range of wireless sectors from handsets through to mobile applications. Before joining Informa, Gareth worked as a commercial analyst for MCI where he focused on European telecom pricing. Gareth holds a degree in Business Economics where he specialised in Econometrics.

Nidhir Maudgalya

Senior Forecaster

Nidhir's focus is on building and maintaining forecasting models for the mobile & media markets. He is responsible for the quarterly production of WCIS+ forecasts. Prior to this Nidhir worked as an analyst for a Telecoms Consultancy and has authored strategic reports across a variety of mobile segments including the 'Chinese Mobile Market'. He has an MSc in Telecommunications from South Bank University.
