WCIS contains data on provisional, current and withdrawn terminal handsets and PC cards. The information contained within the database is updated continuously and relates to all the industry's terminal manufacturers. All technologies are covered and the database contains details regarding device specifications, features and market status including the month the handset came to market. At the beginning of January 2007, WCIS covered details of almost 8,500 separate handsets and devices, including nearly 700 devices launched during 2006.
